The children have been very busy again this week.
Maple children continued with their snow theme and learnt the rhyme and actions to the poem A Little Frosty Snowman.
The children made some beautifully sparkly snowflakes and have been using the large building equipment to build snow men and snow ladies.
We have been very lucky to receive some toys and dressing up costumes from some of our parents. The children are making full use of everything. We have had a lot of dinosaurs, mermaids, pirates and princesses in the room!
Maple children continue to count and dig deeper into understanding the quantities 1,2, and 3. They also practised their cutting skills.
Maple children joined with Elm to take part in a cosmic kids yoga Pedro the penguin. The children asked to warm up with their favourite - DJ Raphi singing The wheels on the bus. It was lovely watching the children sing a familiar song and know all the actions and moves.
Elm children read The Gingerbread Man. They sorted using natural objects, made the gingerbread man with play dough and began making more complex jigsaws.
Elm children joined Holly class and Mr Williamson on Friday for PE. They had an assault course to conquer, going over and under equipment, using different body parts to move around the equipment.
We finished the week off by re-enacting a Baptism. We practised making the sign of the cross and baptised our babies.
A lovely end to a great week.
