Welcome back!
We hope you all had a restful, happy summer. It has been lovely seeing the children again, it’s when we see them again that we realise how much we have missed them. They all look so much taller and very grown up.
The children all came back so calmly and we have really enjoyed watching them all play with each other.
The children have loved reading the story of the colour monster. The monster changes colour depending on his emotions. The children have enjoyed talking about the different emotions there are and have come to tell us if they are feeling ‘blue’, or angry, but mostly they felt yellow which means happy! We have spent the week focusing on colours, recognising them, naming them and being colour detectives in the school. On the playground the children played Jump to the Edge, colour edition.
We have also begun to welcome new children into Maple and Elm, our present children have been very welcoming and have enjoyed playing with them and showing them our routines.
The children have also enjoyed going into Holly room at the end of the day. We have been getting to know Mrs Wilford and have had chance to chat to our friends that have now moved up to Holly class.
A reminder that our end of day is now from 3.15-3.30pm from Holly class.
