School Meals

We offer a full menu of meals each day with choice at the point of serving. Menus run over three weeks and are updated from time to time. A copy of the latest one is available on request from the school office.

The cost is £2.40 per day, payable one week in advance. Meals may be booked by completing an application form available from the school office. For cancellations, please complete a form giving at least one week’s notice.

UNIVERSAL INFANT FREE SCHOOL MEALS

All children in Reception and Years 1&2 are able to have a meal free of charge. If you wish your child to receive the meals, please ask for a form at the school office. School will only receive funding for those who actually take the meals.

Children of any age between 4 and 11 may also be eligible to claim Free School Meals subject to meeting the criteria. This enables school to claim Pupil Premium Grant which is used to support a number of school activities. (See Pupil Premium Page on this website for details) We will only receive this grant if parents declare their eligibility. Please speak to the school office in confidence for more information.

PACKED LUNCHES

Children may bring a packed lunch if you prefer but we expect that your child will be able to manage this independently. The contents should be in line with healthy meal guidance and wrappers should be easy to open.

NO SWEETS, GLASS BOTTLES OR FIZZY DRINKS PLEASE.

FOOD SAFETY—NUTS

We have some children in school with severe peanut allergies. This condition is potentially life threatening and staff have to receive training to manage it at school.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY FOOD ITEMS CONTAINING NUTS OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING PEANUT BUTTER, either in lunch boxes or for snacks.

Even if your child is not allergic, it only takes a smear of the nut product to affect those who are!

Thank you for your support.
