Welcome to Beech Class- Year 5/6

Topic and DT- Shipwrecked Islands!

We have had so much fun in the last week of term making our shipwrecked islands for our DT and topic curriculum. The children ensured they including 5 main features on their islands: a food source, water source, shelter, fire and jetty. I have been so impressed with their team work and determination, don't they look amazing!

Science- Heart Rates

In science this week, we have been investigating what happens to our heart when we exercise and how long it takes to recover. We plotted our results of beats per minute (BPM) on a bar chart, before and after exercise.

HARVEST FESTIVAL- Friday 2nd October

To celebrate Harvest and give our thanks to God for all our wonderful food, each class has done something different. In Beech Class, we have made some lovely Harvest Prayers. Please see some pictures and videos below of their work.

Forest School!

Beech Class has had so much fun in the first few weeks at forest school. They have been making dens, climbing trees and making berry art.
