Wow, what a busy half term we have all had. I know the children and adults alike are ready for a small rest, we have had a very busy time; making new friendships, learning new rules and performing in our Harvest Performance. The children have worked very hard-we are so proud of the all.
Elm children are thriving in Elm room, they are enjoying the additional challenges and are looking forward to being introduced to Little Wandle phonics.
The children went on a RE hunt on Monday, looking to see if they could find any crosses in school or outside in the school grounds. We have been practising making the sign of the cross and explaining to the children what it means when we say ‘in the name of the Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit’. After identifying where they were, the children practising forming crosses on the playground.
On Wednesday, we all joined together to have all the PE apparatus out, the children were challenged to find as many different ways of morning across the apparatus. Over the course of the session, we saw children gain confidence and invent new ways of moving.
Well done everyone.
The children have all finished making their poppies, ready to be displayed by McDonalds for Remembrance Day.
Have a restful half term and we look forward to seeing you all in one week.
