Maple and Elm’s Easter Week.
What a busy but fun week we have had.
All children finished their Easter cards and everyone at some during the week made Easter nests to take home. We hope you all enjoyed them as much as you did making them. The children loved seeing the chocolate melt and also loved the smell. Once made had mixed our rice crispies into the melted chocolate we spooned them into cupcakes and then added our marshmallow bunnies and chicks. All children got to eat a marshmallow, which they loved and also try some of the still warm melted chocolate crispie mixture. There were a lot of chocolate handprints doted around the room as the children went to wash their hands. They really enjoyed making an sampling the cakes.
The children went very excited about our Easter Crafts Afternoon with Holly class and lots of our parents. Everyone was very busy decorating crosses, icing Easter biscuits, making bunny ears hats. It was lovely to see so many people attend and think we can safely say it was a success. Parents that were able to escape work for an hour or so, thank you for coming, the children loved having you there.
