Welcome back everyone, it’s lovely to see all the children again, I think the sunshine has helped everyone to grow as everyone seems taller.
As the weather has been so glorious this week, we had to make the most of it and have spent time every morning and afternoon outside (in the shade).
Maple and Elm have enjoyed themselves on the bikes and scooters. The children decided the best way to rest after their biking was to have a go on the rower under the hut. I think we definitely have some prospective rowing Olympians.
Maple children have been listening to the nursery rhyme Mary, Mary, quite contrary. This is the first rhyme the children haven’t heard of. We looked at different pictures of Mary gardening and then the different sorts of flowers, bells and shells the rhyme mentions.
When the temperatures reached too high to be outside, we all went into St Mary’s room where it was lovely and cool. We had a cosmic kids yoga session followed by different maths games on the interactive whiteboard followed by a mini assault course. The children had a wonderful, none sweaty time.
Elm class read Supertato, mean, green Time Machine this week.
We talked about how we have changed from babies to now. The children practised their subsidising and had great fun role playing a vets.
On Friday the school photographer took pictures of Maple and Elm children. The children were very good at listening to instructions and all gave beautiful smiles.
