Welcome back, we hope you all had a good half term and hopefully have got rid of all the bugs around. it's only been one week, but all the children look as though they have grown.
We are welcoming new friends into Maple room this week,we have such caring children who always make sure new friends settling are happy and feel looked after.

We joined with Elm class for PE and moved around like all the different farm animals. we had horses galloping, donkey's kicking, pigs rolling in the mud. The children had a great time.
Elm class read the book - Farmyard Hullabaloo, a collection of short farm related poems. The children have been busy washing the muddy animals, drawing their favourite farmyard animal and recognising the rhyming words in each poem.
The children are doing amazingly with their phonics and continue to impress us weekly by their segmenting and blending of CVC (consonant, vowel, consonant words), such as c-a-t says cat.
On Friday whilst Elm and Holly class go to Forest School, Maple class explore Holly room, using their whiteboard and making use of all the different toys Holly class has to offer.
Elm and Holly class went to Forest School, even though it was sunny, the children (and adults) managed to find ALL the mud!! Some children were so muddy Mr Williamson and Mrs Park ending up hosing the children down! There was not a single sad face, everyone had such a wonderful time!
A good first week back!
