Following in the footsteps of Jesus, together we love live and learn.

Wk: 23rd June 2025

A sailor went to sea, sea, sea and Sharing a shell.

Maple children have enjoyed singing a sailor went to sea sea sea. We did have a bit of confusion between which sea/see we were singing.

The children have had a great time making sea creatures, they made some lovely colourful jellyfish and some beautiful transparent fish, which have been hung by the door, so when the wind blows it looks like the fish are swimming.  The children find this highly entertaining during snack time to see their fish swimming around.

We have also been shape detectives this week, finding shapes in the room which are pretending to be objects, such as the door is really a big rectangle and our table is a circle! The children had great fun looking for the shapes.

We have been very lucky with the weather again, the children are loving having the chance to play on the meadow, under the trees, it has been lovely and shaded.

Elm children have been building a house for crab, using building blocks after reading Sharing a Shell. They have been searching for rock pools in the water tray and painting beautiful shells.

In maths the children were rolling a dice and seeing if they can find the matching number hidden in the sand.

We have begun to practise for sports day now, the children are already getting excited!
