We’ve finally made it to the end of our first term together! It has been a very long one and I know how tired the children are and how much they all deserve a good rest. They have all achieved so much since they started school in September and should feel extremely proud of themselves.
Yesterday, the children all made their own little ‘Bambinelli’ (baby Jesus) to help them remember that Christmas is about celebrating the birth of baby Jesus. They took them to mass today, where they were blessed by Father Naz. They should have brought these home with them today.
This week has been full of fun…. We have had a class party as a reward for filling up their pom pom jar (rewards which children collect for making ‘good choices’. We’ve made snowman biscuits as well as lots of other Christmas decorations. We’ve also been riding bikes and trikes on the big playground. The grand finale has to be a visit from none other than Father Christmas himself!
Mrs Park, Mrs Walters, Mrs Williamson and I would all like to say a great big thank you for all of the lovely Christmas cards and gifts have received. You are very kind and are touched by your generosity. We wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year ahead.
