Following in the footsteps of Jesus, together we love live and learn.

W/B 15th April

Jack and the Beanstalk.

Elm children this week read Jack and the Beanstalk. Many were familiar with the story and enjoyed joining in with the 'fee, fi, fo, fum'.

We had some very considerate paintings and the leaf weaving was fantastic. The children had leaves and had to use the hole punch to make holes around the edge, once they had finished that they could choose between pipe cleaners or wool and weave in and out of the holes. A lot of concentration was needed and all did an amazing job.

In phonics the children focussed on y, z and qu. The children really enjoyed playing 'can you touch', they have to listen to the segmented word, blend it back together and then point to that word, eg: ch-ee-k.

A busy week for all.
