W/C: 13th April

Elm and Holiday have started off adventures in our new topic, 'Fabulous Food'!  During this half term, we will be reading some high-quality texts with a food-theme, as well as learning about different types of foods; where they come from and how they are made/grown.  We began the week with a letter from the Little Red Hen, who needed out help to make bread.  The children were all very happy to oblige and had lots of fun seeing the process through from start to end.  We also learnt how the flour is made from wheat and how this has to be grown and then processed to become what we see in the shops.
