The children were introduced to the Advent Wreath today.  We discussed how many candles there were; 3 purple, 1 white and one which initially we thought was pink but we found out it has a special name of ‘rose’.

The candles are lit on the four Sundays building up to Christmas, with the white one being lit on Christmas morning.

The candles represented: hope, faith, joy and peace.

The children were fascinated with the wreath.
