The children have been working hard to practice the songs for the harvest festival. We are lookimg forward to sharing it with you.

In Maths we have been learning the skill of subitizing. This is being able to see a set of objects and know the quantity without counting. We have been practicing subitising to three and sorting groups of objects.

In phonics we have been learning new phonemes and graphemes and how to form our letters correctly.

We have discussed the school rules and thought about what it means to be ready, respectful and safe. We met Elgar, our school mascot who reminds us to do our best.

In PE we have been doing gymnastics and how to manage our own risks in a safe environment. The children have been climbing, swinging and jumping from the apparatus.

In assembly on Monday, Mrs Langford talked about the fair distribution of food around the world as part of our catholic social teaching. There will be a display in the hall and Holly class have printed plates of food as their contribution.
