Following in the footsteps of Jesus, together we love live and learn.

W/B 18th September 2023

This week we have been reading lots of Elmer stories.  Elmer is a colourful patchwork elephant who loves being different.  We created lots of elephant pictures using collage, paint and practising our pencil control.  The children enjoyed the challenge of prepositions.  We hid Elmer in various places around a box (under the box, behind it, in it, on top of it, by the side of it).  They all rose to the challenge and then used this activity independently challenging each other where to place him.  We also ordered different sized elephants and sorted into different colours.  In PE we practised moving like animals; stomping, walking, jumping.  The older children were very good at helping our new children practice saying Grace at lunchtime.  Everyone enjoyed Elmer and are pleased he decided to stay colourful.
