The Colour Monster 

This week we have been reading the book The Colour Monster by Anna Llenas. This is a lovely story that helps to explain emotions and feels and assigning them colours. We have a display board with the different feelings on and the children have been given their own picture cards so that they can express themselves visually. Using this theme of colours and monsters, we have engaged the children in mark making and number games to make their learning fun. We been colouring, painting and different craft resources to make our own colour monsters pictures. The children have shown great cutting and sticking skills.

In PE, Holly class we listened to instructions while playing the bean game and had lots of fun exploring the apparatus. We practiced balancing, jumping and travelling to help improve those gross motor skills.

We have began our new phonic scheme, Little Wandle. Thank you for your support and attending the parents information evening.
