W/C: 23rd February

Holly and Elm have kicked off their new topic, 'World Explorers'.  We have  a new 'travel agents' role play area in Holly Class, perfect for those looking for a getaway to escape from the rain!  Their book of the week was 'Meerkat Mail', where they were introduced to a rather fed up meerkat called Sunny, who was trying to escape his busy and crowded home in the Sahara desert and find  his 'perfect home'.   Children have loved hearing about his travels throughout the story and discussed places they thought would be perfect for Sunny to live.  Many thought somewhere cold, like the Artic might be good as it would help to cool him down!
