It has been wonderful welcoming you all back and meeting each other again. We have had a fun first 2 days and have lots of exciting things in store for the rest of the term.
On Thursday we measured ourselves with lengths of string and have put these, along with our goals and dreams for this year, in an envelope to open at the end of the year and compare.
We have also had lots of time to talk about how we are feeling after such a long time away from school and have discussed the ways we can make our class as safe, healthy and as happy as possible.
Our first topic is The Stone Age and all of our learning will form the basis of our Class Assembly on 21st October.
We had great fun this week learning all about the Battle of Worcester and how it was the final battle of the English Civil War. We found out that the King's supporters were called Roundheads and Parliament's supporters were called Cavaliers. Look at the fantastic helmets and hats we made - can you guess which ones are which??
After learning all about the food Stone Age man had to eat we went on our own hunter gatherer expedition.
We sung the Harvest Samba and recorded this.
We found clues and tiny notes in our classroom this morning from the Minpins, telling us to go into the forest to find something left for us. Who are the Minpins? We can't wait to find out! Follow this link to watch the videos!! https://www.stjoesmalvern.co.uk/curriculum-learning-3/
